Which AI is best for stock analysis? We ran ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity on the same stocks
No single AI is best for stock analysis, and six real runs can't crown one. What our runs do show is that each model has habits: Gemini scored highest, or tied, in 4 of 6 runs, and Grok scored lowest, or tied, in 5 of 6. The most useful move is to compare several and read the one that disagrees.
The scores, model by model
Each number is that model's bullish score from 0 to 100 in a real QuantCall AI run (moderate risk, overall horizon).

- Perplexity averaged 71, close behind Gemini.
- Claude averaged 63 and barely moved: every score fell between 62 and 66.
- GPT averaged 62, with the widest swings, from 43 on Shopify to 72 on AMD.
- Grok averaged 55, the most cautious. It was the lowest score, or tied, in 5 of 6 runs.
ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini vs Grok vs Perplexity: how to pick
- Want recent news and prices? Pick a model with live web search, and ask it to date its sources.
- Want a steady, balanced read? In our runs Claude was the most consistent.
- Want the skeptic? Grok was the most cautious, so it's useful for the bear case.
- Want all of them? That's multi-model AI stock analysis: run several at once and read where they split.
What this doesn't show
A higher score doesn't mean a model is right. These are outputs, not results, and we didn't track what the stocks did next. Six runs from one week is a small sample, and scores can change between runs. QuantCall uses cost-conscious model versions, and each model gets different prompts and data sources inside our app.
Common questions
Which AI is best for stock analysis?
Our six runs can't name a best model. They show the models often disagree on the same stock, with gaps of up to 33 points, so comparing several is more informative than trusting one.
Is ChatGPT or Claude better for stocks?
In these runs GPT averaged 62 and Claude 63, close to each other. Claude was steadier and GPT swung more. That says nothing about accuracy: we only measured how bullish each output was.
Which AI is the most bullish on stocks?
In our runs, Gemini (average 72) and Perplexity (average 71) were the most bullish, and Grok (average 55) was the most cautious.
Can AI predict stock prices?
We don't claim that any model can. Treat AI output as research to check, not as a forecast or a recommendation.
